Dear Camper:

It seems hard to believe that another year has passed and we are on our way to Camp Sonlight 2007.  This year has brought changes to each of you and it will be a whole new year at Camp!  We have a really unique speaker this year for the Senior Campers, Bob Holmes, the one-man volleyball team!  He has been praying already and is ready to come and challenge us in many ways this year at camp.  I know you will enjoy him!  There will, of course, be your old friends you’ll get to see, and other great new things to enjoy.  Don’t delay…send in your application RIGHT AWAY!  I’ll see you in August.  We have held our expenses down so that your week’s fee is still the same as last year.

Victory Baptist Church (VBC) started ministering to its teens through Christian camping in 1974. The program started out with borrowed tents in an open field and a hand full of people. Camp Sonlight now rents facilities from organizations that can accommodate this ever-growing ministry. At the current time, VBC rents the Camp Good News facility in Charlestown, New Hampshire. Camp Sonlight is a ministry run by volunteers from the participating churches. Average attendance during the last several years has been around 150 young people from churches in Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and the Province of Quebec. We at Victory Baptist Church hope to one day own its own camp property that could be used for youth camps and church retreats.
